The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced that Lan Enterprises, LLC, of Hillsboro, Oregon, has issued a voluntary recall of Zooper Strollers. The stroller recall is based on a strangulation hazard presented by an opening between the armrest bar/snack tray and the seat bottom of the stroller. The opening is large enough so that an infant’s body can potentially pass through and become entrapped at the neck.
2,300 Zooper Strollers sold with an optional snack tray and armrest bar were recalled. The recalled products were manufacturered between February 2009 and June 2010, and were sold as Zooper Everyday and Zooper Elite brands with model names “Tango,” “Twist,” “Waltz,” and “Flamenco.”
